The inaugural Johnstown Tomahawks Summer Hockey School is to be held July 29 to Aug. 2 at Planet Ice in Richland Township.

The summer school is to be directed by Tomahawks General Manager Rick Boyd.

For five days, students will learn hockey from Tomahawks Head Coach Jason Spence and Assistant Coach Mike Letizia, along with Planet Ice Hockey School’s Director Francis Anzalone.

Boyd said the Tomahawks have placed a high priority on helping the community and providing opportunities for youth hockey players.

“We are so excited for our first summer hockey school and look forward to providing young players with personalized coaching from some of the best hockey minds in our area and from our very own Tomahawks players,” Boyd said.

Students will receive 15 hours of on-ice instruction, dry land training and video breakdowns.

Tomahawks players Cody Boyd, Dakoda Menslage, Corey Schaffer and others will assist coaches.

Youth ages 5-15 can sign up by submitting a form located on the team’s brochures or by calling 814-536-4625
